Seungjoo Seo - 2D Digital Artist / Character Designer / Comic Artist
As a Korean, I aim to share stories that reflect my heritage and experiences, focusing on themes of healing and personal growth. My goal is to heal the wounded hearts of people who, like me, feel that they do not quite fit the mould. I want to tell them: you are not wrong; you are different.
I draw inspiration from everything I see, read, feel, and hear. Most of all, I am inspired by my dreams. The word dream holds two meanings for me: the dreams I have while sleeping and the dreams I strive to achieve. My life as an artist has always coexisted with both kinds of dreams. Using digital tools, I have been developing original characters and crafting an imaginative world where they can exist, each with its own unique stories. I project myself onto these characters, so they all carry a small piece of me. In the worlds I create, the characters face challenges and overcome ordeals. By witnessing their journeys, I find healing for myself as well.
While my work is intended for everyone, I especially hope to connect with people in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with concerns about their future. I want to remind them that they are not alone and that their struggles can lead to growth.
